Only Us (Young Bombs Remix)

Canadian wonder duo Young Bombs have had the chance to remix Paperwhite's beautiful single "Only Us" and the result is absolutely epic. In classic Young Bombs style, the duo combine emotional sounding melodies with clubby vibes on this one, which also feels natural considering the original version of the track. The buildup vocal chop which extends into the drop deliver a grande sound which pushes energy through your speakers and makes you want to nod along in appreciation....or dance in public (depending on where you're listening to this).

Gravity

LA based producer (yep, apparently every producer lives there) Diamond Pistols has released a new single which will knock your socks off. The track is called "Gravity" feat. Lydia and sounds like Zedd meets Illenium. I love how the vocal and the instrumental play so well against each other, creating an almost theatrical listening experience in some parts. The energy on the drop is of course one of the highlights, but a big part of the tracks awesomenesss definitely lies with the vocal performance too.

"Gravity" is available as a free download or you can find it via your favourite platform via the link below. Enjoy!

Love Somebody (Quaggin Remix)

Toronto based DJ and producer Patrick Quaggin-Smith aka Quaggin has dropped a crisp new remix for Justin Caruso's amazing single "Love Somebody". The added bounce on the instrumental really gives the track an entirely different flow, adding an energetic and fresh vibe. I love how the original vocal was incorporated here as well, making the remix sound like it was meant to sound like this from the beginning. Sadly the remix is somewhat short, but thank god for the replay button...you're definitely going to need it, because it's that good!

Upcoming talent Barkley returns with a fresh new single called "Her Eyes". Delivering a stunning piece of music, the Frankfurt based DJ and producer manages to take the listener on a journey through his dance friendly soundscape. Add to that some beautifully organic and lush sounding elements and you end up with a track that purveys a certain lightness that you rarely find in a proper house track. Break Up Every Night (Two Friends Remix)

The force is strong with Two Friends and they keep pushing forward! This time it's with their own version of The Chainsmokers' "Break Up Every Night" and holy guacamole did they come out with a crisp result. Taking the best parts of the original and adding their own flavour suits "Break Up Every Night" very well. Personally I dig the added guitar and brass parts which elevates the listening experience and makes Two Friends take ownership of the track. If you don't believe, just go ahead and listen for yourself.

Don't Go

Canadian duo Pineo and Loeb have a fresh new single out called "Don't Go" feat. Quake Matthews & Concordia and you should give it a listen right away. It's been quite a while since I've come across an electronic/hip hop crossover that I really liked, but this one is on fire. The flow on this track is absolutely on point, delivering a vibe that makes you want to nod your head along in appreciation. "Don't Go" is part of the duos debut album which has been three years in the making. The entire work consists of 11 tracks they all just sit and wait to be played via the link below. Nobody Compares To You

New single release from Gryffin called "Nobody Compares To You" feat. Katie Pearlman is just what you need to celebrate that you've made it to the mid of the week. This is a slightly unconventional Gryffin release, taking the focus away from his guitar play, going with a more synthy and pop inspired vibe. The vocal performance is a big part of the track and it delivers a perfect response to the catchy melody. "Nobody Compared To You" is out now and available via all the major platforms. Enjoy!

For this one the duo teamed up with Indiana based family band Oferle who deliver a spot on vocal performance and story line. Royal Blood

The one and only Louis Futon returns with a fresh new single called "Royal Blood" feat. Keiynan Lonsdale. This time the producer has gone with a lighter hip hop vibe, infused with rnb and pop. What makes the track stand out to me is particularly the use of horns, which add a refreshing live element to this piece of electronic bliss. In my humble opinion, "Royal Blood" belongs in the top 2 of Louis Futon releases so far, so this should have you excited for pressing that play button below. Runaway (Yeasayer Remix)

NYC native Julietta has received a dope remix for her track "Runaway" by none other than Yeasayer. What has this done to the track I hear you ask? If you're familiar with Yeasayer (and really...you should be), then it should come as no surprise that we've received something with a significant indie vibe and a modest upbeat boost. There's also a distinct 80's vibe that I am picking up, which really suits the original vocal performance a lot. I love the Yeasayer mystique that has been added here and it really feels like the track should have sounded like this from the beginning (although to be fair, the original track is amazing on its own too).

In My Mind

Having just released a new single with Plastic Plates under the pseudonym Luces, Amtrac keeps momentum with a solo remix release for the legendary Jesse Rose's "In My Mind". The remix brings back memories to Amtrac's early days were his own sound was characterised more around classic house music, with a disco twist (think "Feel Good"), hence maybe the reason why Amtrac called this a "Voyage Mix"...a voyage back in time?! :) Personally I find the vibes on this track incredibly contagious and I can't think of a better track to post on a Saturday.

Everybody Hurts

My favourite Dutch duo, The Him, are back with a new single called "Everybody Hurts" feat. Ivy Adara. Sticking to their 6-week release plan they continue to push and spin out some amazing music, putting their song writing and producing skills to the test. This is also why they continue to impress me, managing to be consistant and drop one earworm after the other. "Everybody Hurts" is an EDM crossover between future bass and pop, with a haunting ad lib and a vocal performance to match...beautiful, clean and crisp, but able to give you chills as well (in a good way).

While We're Dreaming

Two Friends have had a big 2017 so far and they continue with their stream of releases, dropping this hot potato called "While We're Dreaming" feat. Kevin Writer. This track captures their characteristic sound profile very well during the verses, however the drop has a more experimental style, which feels refreshingly different.. This is partly because it's not overly clogged up with unnecessary fills,  has some nice breaks for effect and still brings a superb melody and lots of feel good energy. Like A River

Manchester based duo Shy Luv are back again with a new single. This one is called "Like A River" featuring Bakar and is the first track to see the light of day from their forthcoming EP Lungs. The easy listening indie meets disco vibes on "Like A River" sounds like a hybrid between Chromeo, Isle & Fever and Metronomy, which is a very likeable combo. The production quality is also absolutely a++, but no wonder! Behind the name Shy Luv hides Sam Knowles (aka Karma Kid) and Jake Norman (aka Armeria), both seasoned producers with some serious hits in their respective rosters.

Legendary NYC based DJ and producer Armand van Helden has teamed up with MYWLT long-time favourite, Vasta for this cool remix for Le Youth's "Clap Your Hands". With a contagious groove and a rhythm that will make you want to dance, the two electronic music wizards have totally transformed this amazing track. I can imagine this doing incredibly well in Armand's DJ sets as his characteristic sound profile is remarkably predominant on this remix, but Vasta's melodic side also comes to show, which makes for an ideal combo.  Give the track a spin below and enjoy...it's Friday after all!

The Cure

Canadian wonder duo Young Bombs have released their own spin on Lady Gaga's "The Cure" and turned it into a - Major Lazer meets DJ Snake meets pop music - kind of track. The melody is made utterly catchy thanks to a vocal chop element on the chorus and it doesn't harm that there's a distinct tropical flavour to be picked up as well. With You

Boulder based producer SoDown has teamed up with Moontricks for a new single called "With You", featuring Carly Lynn. Personally I really enjoy some of the quirkier sound elements used on the instrumental like harmonica and gun trickers, alongside some sexy sax and guitar play.

I'm Gonna Be There

It's been a long journey, but Lash has finally released his debut single called "I'm Gonna Be There". Yes, you read that right in singular, Lash is now a solo project, but the music is here to stay!

The track is a mix of dance and pop, with a distinct summer vibe which makes me long for sun and warmth. It's an easily digestible tune that aims at making you feel happy and that things will work out, even with speed bumps on the road. With a release like this, Lash is set for the future and hopefully we can look forward to a lot more new music soon. L.A. based singer, songwriter and producer CVBZ is back with a new single which surely is going to get stuck on your mind. "Be Somebody" combines an earwormy melody, with a characteristic vocal performance, telling the story of a love that can't exist due to the protagonist being perceived as a nobody. Regardless of this being applicable to CVBZ directly or not, what's more important and impressive is that he's been able to create some amazing tracks within the last year, producing a unique and own sound that makes me excited for what is to come in the future.

Best Friend

I think I might be the last person in the blogosphere to post this, but what the heck! SOFI TUKKER's new single "Best Friend" marks a new pinnacle in the duo's musical career. Being featured in both Apple's latest commercial for the Iphone X and the new forthcoming FIFA 18 video game, you can't really ask for anything more... from a commercial point of view that is. Despite this massive exposure, Sophie Hawley-Weld and Tucker Halpern still do their own and that is what makes them and this new release so awesome. The fact that Nervo, The Knocks & Alisa Ueno also had their say in the making of this track doesn't really matter too much to me on this occasion...at the core it's SOFI TUKKER at its absolute finest! Paper Mache

Time for something fresh and different compared to what I usually post for this Friday! Today's track comes from Iris Lune, a quartet based out of Brooklyn, NY. Their new single "Paper Mache" is a beautiful mix of indie/electronica with a hint of folk music. Their sound profile manages to incorporate originality with some serious sparkle and emotionality in a way I haven't heard before. The use of both electronic and acoustic sounding instruments are perfectly balanced, making "Paper Mache" a fantastic first discovery for those of you who are new to Iris Lune. The single will be part of the bands forthcoming EP "Lost In Chatter", set to release in November. Stay tuned!

Luces aka Amtrac and Plastic Plates return with some -out of this world- new music. The track presented here today is called "Soak" and it's the kind of deep electronica that only Amtrac and Plastic Plates know how to make. The track is melodic, bass driven and amazingly hypnotic, allowing the listener to forget everything throughout the single's 6:33 minutes. "Soak" is part of Luces second EP release, which is set to officially release on September 22nd on Openers Records. Relax (GA3TAN Remix)

Haiti based producer GA3TAN has dropped an official remix for JPerry's single "Relax" feat. Solara bringing you Caribbean dance vibes. The melody is an instant earworm and blends in very well with the vibe of the original mix. GA3TAN's remix also benefits from the French/English vocal/lyric language combo, which makes "Relax" a really interesting listen. Although I have no idea what JPerry sings, the vibe radiates holiday and summer feels. Something I am not saying "no" to now that autumn and winter is knocking on the door. I Still See Your Face

San Holo surprisingly drops a new single called "I Still See Your Face" and it delivers. The track flourishes thanks to San Holo's unique sound design and the haunting vocals (performed by the man himself). While still being a type of dance track, the overall vibe has a pronounced chill out style that makes this perfect for easy listening. Your Song (Disco Fries Remix)

Disco Fries are back and this time they've transformed Rita Ora's "Your Song", turning it into the ultimate dance/pop track. I really like the added upbeat vibe and piano chords, but what gets me too groove along the most is that excellent funky french house bass line that hits during the chorus. There For You (LIONE Remix)

LA based producer LIONE has created a dope version of Martin Garrix & Troye Sivan's "There For You". The added focus on the melody on this track is just what it needed to make it sound perfect. While I do appreciate Martin Garrix's clean sound on the original, the melody and added sparkle by LIONE makes "There For You" just that much better in my opinion. Driveway

Rob Ellmore & Colin Dieden (lead singer in The Mowgli's) have teamed up for a new project they call Culpriit. Their first single is already out and it's serious business. "Driveway" is a future bass meets indie/pop in the most catchy way possible. The track starts out being mostly bass driven, but as the track progresses it opens up. Both the instrumental and the vocals are written in a way that they want you to nod along to the rhythm or even sing along to the lyrics. It's somehow a simple melody, but it's very effective and it sounds as crisp as a chip. Give "Driveway" a spin right here below and enjoy!

Tell Me

Almost 3 years after the release of the first Redux EP, Kaskade returns for round number two in full force! For Redux 002 he fires all cylinders, dropping 7 new tracks. But what is Redux, I hear you ask? Redux is Kaskade's homage to his early DJ career, spinning records in smaller clubs, without distractions and before the existence of big EDM festivals. This ideology is reflected in his Redux style music, which tends to be more towards the deep house spectrum of the electronic music genre. A track from the EP which perfectly embodies that is "Tell Me" feat. his old band mates from Late Night Alumni (Becky Jean Williams and John Hancock). You should definitely check out the full EP though, which is out now via all major platforms. Sticking true to his roots, Kaskade is also dropping Redux 002 on vinyl (for the purists). Survive

Saint Wknd and Max have made a track together called "Survive" and yup...it's pretty dope! While Max's vocal performance is a great match considering the overall vibe of the track, it's the instrumental which has me on the edge of my seat. The sounds used for this track are exquisite and refreshingly different, even by Saint Wknd's own standard. Homebound

I have already mentioned the awesome new EP by DROELOE called "A Moment In Time", but having had a few more listens to the entire work, I think I've found my favourite, "Homebound". I can't quite describe what it is, but I do think it has something to do with the sound design in combination with the amazing vocal performance. DROELOE's ability to set themselves apart from the stereotypical electronic music sound jungle is what makes me so excited about their music and "Homebound" just shows that particularly well in my opinion.

Hot Water (Two Friends Remix)

LA's finest are back with a new remix for Audien & 3LAU's "Hot Water". To say the water is hot is an understatement...it's on fire! Two Friends have focussed on adding melodic elements to the track, boiling things down to a pop/house/future bass fusion, which steadily finds its way into your brain, transforming itself into an earworm. Personally I prefer this version over the original, which I find somewhat dark and heavy. This remix, with its brigher sound and lighter feel, makes for a perfect late summer track which you can jam out to at a party or just while easy listening.

XL & Master Control (Pat Lok Remix)

Although having released an entire album this year already, Pat Lok is not one to rest on his laurels. Now he is back with two new remixes! The first one is a remix for Bro Safari, Dillion Francis & Salvatore Ganacci's track "XL", which has received a complete 180 flip. Gone is the loud festival moombahton vibe, exchanged for Pat Lok's characteristic feel-good nu-disco'esque style sound. If you know the original version of "XL", then you're in for a surprise for sure!

The other remix Pat Lok has been crafting, is for Jnthn Stein's "Master Control" feat. BXRBER. Again, the feel good vibes are unstoppable. I love the retro disco vibe on this remix and the creative work on the vocal. To my ears it almost sounds like the vocal was covered by someone else, but more likely it's just Pat Lok working some ultra clever pitch work, totally transforming BXRBER's vocal. BXRBER commented on Pat Lok's remix "Why You So Dope"?...I'm also asking myself that question! Pat Lok...you're a genius...end of story!

DK fam! You here?! Danish duo Blondage have had their track "Stoned" remixed by OTR and it's now extra spiced up in the best possible way. The vibe is still incredibly mellow and chilled out, but the instrumental now feels more upbeat and melodic, which suits the track very well. Come As You Are

First time I came across Paris & Simo was in 2011 when they released their remix for Tiesto's "Work Hard, Play Hard". A lot has happened since then and now they are back with a brand new single release called "Come As You Are" feat. Karen Harding on vocal. Eclipse

Emmit Fenn is on a roll and has recently released a brand new instrumental EP called "Eclipse". Featuring a total of 4 new tracks, including the one below called "Drive", Emmit shows off his diverse production skills. The overall vibe on this EP is remarkably different from his Prologue EP, which covered a wider variety of genres. "Eclipse" stands out with its deeper and darker sound design and at times cinematic style, which feels fresh, but makes me wonder where Emmit Fenn goes from here musically. I like the boldness of not being forced to listen to one style of music from one specific artist, so in my book that is just a bonus point. Give his track "Drive" a spin right here, but make sure to listen to the full EP via the link below.

Chemicals

L.A. based duo Oliver have have just released their new album called "Full Circle" and to keep it short and simple, it's one of the best electronic music releases to come out of 2017 so far. Featuring a total of 15 tracks, they're definitely not selling themselves short for their debut album. A single I would like to point out is called "Chemicals". It's a track that perfectly encapsulates the vibe of the album and gives you a sense of their musicality and style. Their characteristic 80's sound design and retro synth work is a key driver here and it's what makes this album so special. While "Chemicals" features a stunning collab with MNDR, the album also enjoys features of other great artists such as Elohim, Sam Sparro, De La Soul, Yelle, Scott Mellis and Chromeo.

So If you're a person who can't get enough of funky basslines and retro dance grooves, then this is definitely for you. Feel free to stream "Chemicals" right here and add "Full Circle" to your weekend party playlist via the link below. Enjoy!

Spread The Love (Jetique Remix)

Munich based producer Jetique is literally spreading the love with his remix for Goldroom's hit. With the original vocal being incredibly house friendly, it's perhaps not surprising that this is exactly what Jetique has been going for with this version. His characteristic house music sounds fit perfectly on this track and if you didn't know any better, "Spread Love" could very well have sounded like this originally. With the existing positive message hidden in the lyrics of this tune, there's no doubt that the extra firey house vibes will make you a happy person after listening to this remix. Silence (Codeko Remix)

New music coming from London based Codeko, with his remix for Marshmello feat. Khalid's single "Silence". While keeping it melodic and on the down-low during the verses, the pure sensation of this remix hits you during the drop. This is where Codeko adds a boatload of energy to the track, making it an ideal piece for bigger stages and gigs. Despite the focus on turning "Silence" into a proper dance tune, smaller sonic elements also make this remix sparkle throughout the duration of the track. Check out the track yourself by pressing play or pick up a free download by hitting the link below. Enjoy!
